Helpful Tips for Planning Your Wedding: Postage Stamps Cost Increase
The US Postal Service is raising the cost of first-class stamps from 50¢ to 55¢ starting Sunday, January 27, 2019. It is only five cents, but if you consider how many stamps you use when getting married. It can add up. The average bride spans between $200 – $350 in postage for ‘Save the Date,’ invitations and RSVPs.
Your main invitation will generally require a 2-ounce stamp (which looks like it’s going DOWN 1¢ each), but your reply envelopes for your RSVPs AND your thank you notes will all require a first-class stamp. Think ahead and plan, buy some cute forever stamps.
